It is important to get stakes which are long enough to maintain the weight of the goal. The absolute minimum length a stake should be is ten inches long. Where possible, the stakes should be driven into the ground at an angle with a sledge hammer. This will keep the stakes safely secured in the ground even when there is pressure on the goal. These are also sold in packs of four, and we recommend that all four stakes be used in securing your goal.
- Net pegs: Our net pegs are used to secure the net to the ground and should hook only to the net, never to the frame of the goal. The looped end allows them to be efficient in even the most difficult of conditions. We sell net pegs in sets of eight, which is sufficient for two standard sized goals.
It is extremely important that the conditions of the soil that you intend to use are checked before you purchase portable ground anchors. Not all anchors are equal, and some will not hold the goal securely in all soil conditions.
